Camping News August 2006 Hello Happy and hot campers, Well here it is the first of August ( hottest month of the year) and it’s been in the 95 and up for the past 10 days ……it’s hot. Elvis Pressley week, it’s this month Aug 8th to the 16 and here’s a link for more events on Elvis. http://www.elvis.com/graceland/calendar/elvis_week.asp Watched the news last week and they had a piece on the difference in gas quality, premium to regular gas. They reported with the new motors now that we have in are vehicles today they don’t run or get any better gas mileage with high octane because they are low compression motors. The only motors that will recognize the octane level is high compression motors. These motors in our cars today are low-compression, but there are some high compression motors they still make, motorcycles and high performance race cars etc. Check to see about what you have no reason to pay 10 to 15 cents more a gallon when it doesn’t matter.
Here’s a book that everyone should read, it’s called the Ten Minute Tech. It’s has over 600 hundred money savings tips from RV’ers that have sent ideas in, and who better to find shortcuts and money saving ideas than from other RV’ers? I gave it to my service dept. to read and they were impressed with it and now use some of the tech tips themselves, This book normally sales for $19.88 and for this month, no shipping charge total cost $19.88 and if you don’t like it, send it back and I’ll give you full refund $19.88 that’s right you don’t like it, or don’t think it’s worth $19.88, send it back no questions asked. To order, click on to the icon. You will see a shipping charge but we will pay shipping for the month of August.( #11-1010) And on the humor side… A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of seniors down a highway when he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady. She offers him a handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up. After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she hands him another handful of peanuts. She repeats this gesture about five more times. When she is about to hand him another batch again he asks the little old lady, " Why then don't you eat the peanuts yourself?". "We can't chew them because we've no teeth," she replied. The puzzled driver asks, "Why do you buy them then?" The old lady replied, "We just love the chocolate around them."
